The Scottish FA confirmed that they have secured a deal to play Argentina at Hampden in a Tennent’s International Challenge match on Wednesday November 19th this year.
Following extensive negotiations between the two parties, the ticket prices have been set at the same level as the forthcoming World Cup Qualifying Match against Norway. This being a significant improvement on the prices that were suggested when the prospect of the match was first discussed earlier this year.
The prices are:- Adults £25, £30 and £35. Family £18/£10.
The match will be televised live on Sky Sports with an 8pm kick-off. Details of how supporters will be able to purchase tickets will be made available in due course.
Scottish FA Chief Executive Gordon Smith said:-
“I am delighted that we have managed to strike a deal to bring Argentina to Scotland. When we were speaking to the representatives, it was clear that the Argentinians wanted to play us and were just as excited as we were about a match at Hampden.
We are very pleased that we will be able to put on the game at a pricing structure that will appeal to fans. “We want Scotland fans to see the players pit themselves against the best in the world and there are few teams better than Argentina. This is going to be a great match and a fantastic occasion and I know that George and the team will put on a show that will do the country proud.”
National Coach George Burley said:-
“We cannot wait to test ourselves against one of the best teams in the world and look forward to our fans giving the Argentinians a great Scottish Hampden welcome when they come here in November.”

Scotland fans warned delays could put journeys off track - Edinburgh Evening News
Just a heads up about major engineering work on the main Edinburgh to Glasgow rail line on the 11th October - the same day Scotland play Norway at Hamden.
SCOTLAND football fans are being warned that the level of train services between Edinburgh and Glasgow will be reduced when the national team takes on Norway next month.
The main Edinburgh-Glasgow Queen Street service will run half-hourly rather than every 15 minutes throughout the day, and journey times will be extended by 20 minutes on October 11.
This is because Network Rail will be undertaking double-tracking and signalling works at Newbridge junction as part of the £300 million Airdrie-Bathgate Rail Link Project.
Additional services will operate from Linlithgow to Glasgow Queen Street from mid-morning to lunchtime, and there will be an hourly service between Edinburgh and Glasgow Central.
First ScotRail said that it expects trains and stations will be extremely busy and customers should take into account that Edinburgh-Glasgow services will be at almost half regular capacity when planning their journeys.

Acording to a post on the TAMB by the Scottish FA, the date for the Norway V Scotland game could be moved from Wednesday 19th August to Wednesday 12th August 2009 - a week earlier than origanally scheduled. Norway Away - Tartan Army Message Board
The FIFA world Callendar already has the game as being played on the 12th
Colleagues
As some of you will no doubt be aware - FIFA have proposed a change of date for this match, moving it from Aug 19 back to Aug 12.
This is not something that we support - and we are aware that fans may have already booked flights etc. We are working hard to get a solution to this at present. We hope to get it resolved shortly. In the meantime, don’t go booking flights. And, for those who have booked flights, don’t go cancelling… As soon as I get any information either way, I will let you know.
As I said, this is a date change put forward by FIFA and is not something that we support. We are working to keep the original date.
